$5,500 - that is the amount Brian Kaldenberg, owner of for profit NCAA Football rosters sites gamerosters, psxsports and fkrosters, was willing to pay for this website.  The amount he was willing to forfeit to make us go away.

I’m not going to lie.  I was more than on the fence, I thought that amount could make me swallow my pride and was truly close to just saying the heck with it and taking it.  For a domain I purchased less than a month ago for $9 and spent less than a half days work building, that was a heck of a return.

I knew it was wrong though and took the idea back to the community, the community whose dedication to spreading the word about free rosters created the true value for this website, and they set me straight.

This domain is not for sale and I am taking steps to ensure temptation is never a factor again.

But these events have proven that we are having an impact.  Kaldenberg has used a sharp and aggressive tone in his correspondence with me and while he claims our impact is nothing to his bottom line, I believe it has to be or he wouldn’t want us to go away.
